What silly ears this girl has!!! But her story is far from silly. It is very tragic. Rainey and her sister, Nilla, were picked up off the side of the road when they were only about 6 weeks old. Actually, it is worse than that. A woman was driving down the road and saw someone toss them out of a car. It was raining and at first she couldn't believe what she was seeing! When she realized it was two puppies, she pulled over, gathered them up, and then called us. Would we take them? Certainly we would! And our wonderful foster Wendy and her family immediately offered to take care of them until they were ready for their forever home. We are so blessed in our volunteers. And these puppies are so fortunate. We know that we will find them wonderful homes!

Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
