Ok,this cat's name should be SASSY, not Gracie. She has certainly settled in to show her true colors. She is our leader in our house of me and two labs. She says what she wants and when she wants it. If you are the kind of owner that likes your pet to remind you they are here and present - she is a good candidate. This little bugger is all skin and bones but as cute and sassy as they come. If she were a person, she'd be one of those confident strong women who tell you how it is.  She is such a little trooper when it comes to being part of the pack. She's right there in the middle of feed time (now she gets her treats FIRST).  She is great in the bedroom all day and she loves to come out and be with us when I get home.  As I mentioned in a previous update, she doesn't like to be held, but she sure loves to snuggle up close to you and sit right next to you for an evening of tv. If you like a sleep buddy, she'll crawl in right next to you and she actually purrs while she sleeps. I guess it's a purr/snore but it's so cute.   As I write this, she's right next to me - happy to be cage free and in a family. If you are single, have a family and even have pets this is a fun girl for you. She won't go unnoticed but she's not a nag.  She speaks up when necessary so don't worry, if you forget to feed her- she'll let you know. ;)

Someone would love this little girl as a pet. She's just a treat to have as a foster kitty. I'm amazed at how different they all are with such unique qualities. She's my little sassy girl but very loving and just seems like she really appreciates being part of a family.

Foster Update - 5/13: Gracie has been a great foster kitty! She took all of one day to come out of her shell with me, my house and my  two 60lb labs. Gracie is friendly and what I call courteous. She doesn't crawl on you or sit on you or even bug or tug at you in any way. She does however sit nice and close to you while watching tv and if you let her in the bedroom, she fits perfectly on the end of the bed.   Gracie has a unique meow.  When you walk by she gives you a shout. Yes, literally, she shouts out a meow to you.

Gracie loves to be comfortable and likes her bed, the chair and the window sill.  She is a good girl and goes in her litter well. She is tidy with/around her food and water bowl too. 

Gracie would fit into any home. She is friendly (but not over board) and gets a long with pets and people. She is a skinny little thing so I'm working on putting some weight on her.

If you want to consider this gal, she is a treat to be around and yes, she likes treats too.  We love Gracie!

Intake - 10/12: Gracie is a big talker, but independent.  She will come to you when she’s ready to be petted – but usually doesn’t like to be picked up as she’s more comfortable on her own four paw pads.  When people describe in ‘independent minded’ kitty, they could be talking about Gracie. Don't get us wrong, this doesn't mean that Gracie isn't sweet and loving - she is just once she has warmed up to you and is less stressed than she is at the shelter. In a warm, loving home her true, sweet personality will flourish.
