Description:
Ana is a darling little Lagle, you know, a cross between a Lab and a Beagle.... She really is a sweetheart and very lovable. She's also rather quiet. Quiet? Wow! that's a treat in a dog with Beagle in her! Ana will do best as the only pet in the home because she doesn't share well ~ food, toys, her people. She learns very fast. Her rescuer told me that she only had to tell her something once and she'd get it. She knows commands but, because she likes to jump up on people, we prefer her in a home without young children. So, Ana is a diamond in the rough and in the right home with the right hand, she will make a wonderful addition!

Foster Update 5/8: Just wanted to updated on Anna. Anna does not do well with our cat. There was a terrible fight this morning and sadly Anna is the initiator. She would be best as the only pet in the house, although she loves seeing other dogs. If you can get her to play, she is great at fetch. Anna is terrified of large objects, and big balls when we pick them up, but we are working on her to get use to these objects. She does well with children, we introduced her to my nephews(8, 11) and niece (7) and she did such a great job. She does jump with up on us, but didn't with the children. Anna loves to just lay out in the yard, but is definitely a great companion, and loves to follow her people around the house. She is learning quick and knows to sit when she sees the leash. She is a very sweet, loving dog, she sleeps on her back, and loves to have her belly rubbed.

I forgot some other things I was going to mention. We have been calling her Anna Belle, mostly because she is just such a beautiful dog. So she has been responding to Anna Belle. Although doesn't always come when called. She does need work at being trained for things like lay and come. Also, she is crate trained, she does great at "going to bed." Anna is a furniture dog. We have tried to no avail to get her to stay off the couches. She loves being on the couch. And can even jump on to the couch by jumping over the back. In the past week we have heard her bark more and more. She even barks when we are in the car!
I'm attaching a video of AnnaBelle fetching. She has had a ton of energy today, but this was after she had been running a lot. Anyway, its with a small stuffed animal, she doesn't like playing with hard toys, just soft toys, and she loves to lick socks and stuffed animals. Anything soft. She chews on bones, but doesn't play with hard objects. Shes a funny dog, I don't think there is any sound

How much do you know about Beagles? According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Beagle is one of the most popular scent hounds because of his energy, willingness, and merry, sweet disposition. The breed probably originated as a cross between the Harrier and other hounds in England. The Beagle has been used in packs, alone, and in pairs, for hunting hare, pheasant and quail. He has also served as an excellent narcotics detection dog and makes a fine family companion. The Beagle is a gentle, sweet, lively and curious dog that just loves everyone! A happy little tail-wagger! Sociable, brave and intelligent. Calm and loving. Excellent with children and generally good with other dogs, but should not be trusted with non-canine pets, unless they are socialized with cats and other household animals when they are young. Beagles have minds of their own. They are determined and watchful and require patient, firm training. This breed doesn't like being left alone. Consider buying two if you will be gone a lot. A Beagle has a loud baying cry that was a delight to hunting horsemen, but can be disturbing to family and neighbors. Beagles have a tendency to follow their own noses. They may take off on their own exploration if let off their leash in an unfenced area. Energetic and po
