Sweet PJ waited a long a while for his forever home. A true favorite of our volunteers, we were all so happy when he was adopted early in the summer. Sadly, the family experienced a major and unexpected health challenge and came to the sad realization that they could not keep him. We are heartbroken for them and PJ. The volunteer who was there when they returned him e-mailed me, "POOR PJ. He definitely had the "what happened? where are they going?" look. He's still very sweet. "
The owners shared with us some of their insights on this sweet cat they have grown to love:
" PJ is a very large and loveable cat. He enjoys climbing up on the bed and having his ears rubbed. You need to get your place in bed first because once he gets settled in, there's no moving him. He gets along well with our small dog as well as the kitten we adopted at the same time, but he has had some difficulty with our older female cat. He is OK with kids, his size intimidates our very small dog, but has not had problems."
I hope that PJ does not have to wait long to find his home!

Volunteer Update:
"PJ is one of the most affectionate, gentle, loving cats I've ever met. If you pet him, he'll love you forever. He's quick to cuddle up and purr and hug your hand. He's a beautiful boy and the little bit of color on his head is so unique. I'm partial to sweet big male cats - and he is just perfect. If I weren't up to my pet capacity, I'd take him in a heartbeat. He will make a wonderful pet for someone. I am desperate PJ is so awesome!

PJ is so awesome! In working with him I have noticed that he is very emotional. I had to crate him to work on his ears and he gave me that "what did I do wrong" look when I placed him in the crate. It just broke my heart! He gets along with every cat in the room and tends to stay to himself when he can. He is sooo very gentle and I can hold him on my lap and clean his ears with no fuss! I find him to be one of the most beautiful cats I have seen in a long time. He looks like a white lion to me and is so regal!

Pet Rescue By Judy is a non-profit, no-kill organization. The PRBJ donation fee collected may not be used to cover just the costs of this particular animal in which you are interested. As we have a variety of animals in our care with a wide range of medical needs, all donations collected are utilized towards all expenses within the rescue. The goal of PRBJ is not just to place every animal into a home, but it is to place each animal into the RIGHT home, seeking that forever home, to avoid future transition and negative impact on the life of each of these deserving animals.
