Description: Marshmallow is the most delightful Cockapoo you will ever meet. He is also the luckiest! He wandered into a lovely woman's garage a while back and, thinking that he surely belonged to someone, she knocked on doors, posted photos, contacted Animal Services, ~ the whole nine yards, but to no avail. Well, she has cared for him, brought him up to date and shots, and asked us to find him a home. Honestly, I am a bit stunned! It is so rare to have a stray dog cared for so abundantly by someone. Really, she is a blessing. And now we will honor her efforts by finding Marshmallow the best home ever. Allow me to share some of the insights his rescuer has made about this little pumpkin: "As you can see from the pictures, he is a real cutie. His temperament is good, and he seems energetic and good-natured. And he loves, loves, LOVES treats! The vet estimates he is somewhere between 3-5 years old. He responds to treats: can sit and chase treats that are tossed to him. He likes TLC. Deserves a familythat will spend quality time with him." And just in case you think she is bias, when I called her vet to verify his health record, they raved about this dog and this lovely woman. They said Marshmallow is very loving, very affectionate, seems to get along with everyone and everything! We can do right by this dog and this lady, can't we!?!
***Are you familiar with the Cocker Spaniel? According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, they are cheerful, sweet, and sensitive. The Cocker Spaniel is respectful of its master's authority without much challenge. Merry and endearing. A happy tail-wagger. Gentle and trusting, with average intelligence. They are lively, playful and devoted. Cockers will do okay in an apartment if they are adequately exercised, and are fairly active indoors. A small yard is sufficient. The American Cocker Spaniel is smaller than the English Cocker Spaniel and has a different conformation. The name "Cocker" comes from the woodcock, a game bird these spaniels flushed particularly well. Today, the Cocker Spaniel serves primarily as a companion and glamorous show dog. It can also be used for hunting, tracking, retrieving, watchdogging and agility. They have a life expectancy of 12-15 years.
