Description:
Angel is a Rottweiler/Terrier mix who is rather very friendly but very timid in new situations. She has been through the Bark Busters training which comes with a transferrable life-time guarantee: if ever her new owners have a new or recurring issues, a Bark Busters trainer will come to their home and help resolve the issue! (You can read about my personal experience with Bark Busters under our Information dropdown, "Dog Problem ~ Call Bark Busters") In fact, as a condition of adoption we will require Angel's new owners to arrange an in-home training within the first two weeks of adoption. Why wouldn't someone want to take advantage of such an opportunity? :)
According to Angel's owners, "We obtained Angel at about 5 weeks old. We loved her at first site. She has always been eager to please. Although she will bark, if she is inside and sees someone outside, she will greet a person with a wagging tail, as they approach. She has never been aggressive to a person. If she is inside the home, she may bark when she sees a person coming but is trained to sit on command as a greeting to the guest. She wants to be petted and praised for greeting you by sitting. She is very very loving and loves to sit on the recliner with or without her owner. She will scratch the door to come in or out of a room or the house. She is used to sleeping in the home outside of her crate and she does not chew anything but her toys and bones. She has a favorite stuffed animal ("Horsey-who")that she has gotten all the stuffing out of but she likes to sleep with and "knead dough" and nibble on- it puts her to sleep. She is shy around other larger dogs but will play with them if they allow it. She is submissive to large dogs and will lay on her belly to ask them to play with her. If another large dog is mean, she will run away as she is not aggressive towards larger animals. She is just like a baby. She does, however, like to chase rats, as we live by a lake and there are rats around. Unfortunately, we did not introuduce her to cats and she thinks they are to chase, as well. She is trained to heel, if you are diligent about using the barkbuster tips. Barkbuster's Mike has helped us tremendously, to get Angel to behave. Angel knows him and will work with him to get acclimated to her new owner. She needs either a fenced yard or to be out in the country. She is moderately active. If you want to play with her, she will play frisbee or ball. She does like to nap during the day and, if you leave her in the house, all day, she will not go to the bathroom in the house. She will wait for you to take her out. She loves to take a short walk in the evening. She, also, likes to swim. If you have a pool, she will run for awhile, then jump in the pool and do a lap to cool off. She is a good dog and has been very pampered. She has all her shots and has been spayed. She has been very well fed and well taken care of. She needs a loving male presence and is very loyal. She likes her belly rubbed and likes "cookies"(any type of treats- especially likes large smoke flavored bones or liver treats)and will sit, lay down, shake, or "other shake(means shake with other paw), and "up" (which means jump for the treat). She has never had a pigs ear and I would not recommend rawhide as she might get choked. She likes raw joint bones and raw tubular bones. We put a little raw hamburger meat, or cut up raw stew meat in with her food, at Barkbuster's Mike's suggestion. She will not tear anything up if you leave her in the home for a long time, but she likes small plastic water bottle caps to chew on, if there is one laying around. We love our baby and are sad to have to give her up but, we do not have a fenced yard and the neighbors are afraid Angel will bother other small animals. "
Angel is an interesting case ~ she needs a structured, consistent home where she will feel safe, an owner who is not afraid to apply the rules but will not use physical discipline or yell ~ she is easily intimidated. Mike, of Bark Busters, says she is highly trainable and very adoptable, but although sh
