Description:
Check out Kiki's eyes! They are ice blue ~ absolutely stunning. This sweetheart was pulled out of a kill shelter in Georgia with a handful of other pups. She's travelled a long way to find a home. Funny enough, I had her posted on our website for a couple of weeks as "Kojak", a boy, before she was fostered by someone who let me know that I was a bit off on the plumbing!!! Ooops!
Here is a report from her foster family:
" I couldn’t believe it when our dog Happy (the super shy one) started initiating play with KiKi. That was HUGE for her and I’m so glad they are getting along. I can tell that Kiki really loves being part of a family. There have been so many cute moments that I missed out on because I didn’t have my camera nearby!
Let me start by saying that KiKi is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I don’t think this girl has a mean bone in her body. She generously gives kisses to people, other dogs and even tried to kiss the cats! Beneath her puppy personality is a gal that wants to be your best friend. Let me point out some great characteristics she has:

A. She’s not a barker. She was learning how to “guard dog” from my other fur children, but she doesn’t bark or whine for no reason.

B. She is good in her crate. I realized the first night that if I kept her in a room where one of us slept, or one of the other dogs slept, she did great. She just wants to be part of a family and be close to people and other dogs.

C. She is good in the car. Now, she may need a bit of nudging to get in at first, but once she is in, she does really well. Maybe once she realizes that the car can take her to fun places (like a park) then she’ll be more excited about getting in!

D. She doesn’t have the tendency to run off. This is such a good trait and I can’t tell you how pleasantly surprised I was at this. Our other dogs are trained not to leave the yard, and one day we were all out front and I let the leash go to see what she did. Well, she started to go in the neighbor’s yard, but when I corrected her and called her back, she listened! By the end of the week I knew that I could trust her outside on voice command. KiKi does like to track smells and may wander around, but once she knows how far she can go, then she won’t go any further. How great is that?

E. Her energy level is not as high as some other puppy breeds. You can easily tire her out with a nice brisk walk, some backyard play with balls, or indoor play with toys. She settled down nicely in the evening with our other dogs, and she napped at least once during the day as well.

So now that you know how great she is, won’t you consider giving her a home for the holidays? This is one dog that you must meet in person, because it’s really hard to capture her personality in photos. One look into those pretty blue eyes and you’ll fall in love. I guarantee she will fill your life with many, many years of love and companionship."

According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, according to the most credible hypothesis, the Pointer was developed two centuries ago by crossing among the Italian Pointer, the Foxhound, the Bloodhound, the Greyhound, the Newfoundland, the Setter, and the Bulldog. This is an almost unbelievable mix, but it certainly has produced an outstanding result. The modern Pointer has existed for about eighty years. The Pointer is named for the motionless stance the dog assumes once he has found game. The direction of the point tells the hunter where the game is hiding. The first recorded mentions of the Pointer in England date from around 1650, when the Pointer was used to find hare for the Greyhound to hunt. By the early 1700's the Pointer became the dog of choice. The Pointer is renowned for his scenting prowess. He works very quickly, covering a lot of ground. The Pointer is particularly
