Description:

Foster Update 5/28/11: Lucy is starting to show her playful side now...she first showed interest in any kind of loose string or cord (first shoe laces, then headphone cords) so I got her one of those toys with a string and a ball that I can make her chase, and she absolutely loves it! Never gets tired of it.  Then I caught her "rolling" a balled up pair of my socks around the floor.  She is very fun to watch and play with.

She is also still very cuddly at night, and likes to sleep close-by.

Foster Update 5/20/11: Lucy is doing great here but she tends to run under the bed and hide when strangers come in the house.  However, on 2 occasions, she has warmed up to people I brought over, but only when it was one person at a time.

She absolutely loves attention, though! As soon as I get home from work, she'll be out to greet me and brush up against my legs.  She'll act like she is hungry when I first get home, but I think it's just excitement and her craving attention more than food.

She also likes to trail behind/near me when I walk around the house as well as sleep next to me at night.

Lucy is great for someone who loves to give attention and have attention given to you :)

Foster Update 4/29/11: Lucy is settling in wonderfully!  When I first brought her back to my place, she did a quick walk around through my house, then found a nice dark place under my bed where she stayed for a little bit.  But after giving her an hour or so, she came back out to explore and had no problem letting me pet and hold her.  Once you start petting her, she doesn't want you to stop!  If she is able, she will climb on your lap while you pet her and gently "knead" her paws into you and purr loudly.  She will also give little licks to let you know how muchshe is enjoying herself.

She has no problem being picked up. She will wrap her paws around your arm and try to "knead" them also, and of course she purrs the entire time.

If I'm not in my room with her, she likes to go back to the dark place under the bed, but when I come back in the room, she comes right out when I call her name and comes to play for a bit, and will stay on the bed (only while I'm in the room though).

This little girl was hanging around as a stray. She is supper affectionate and had been spayed so she must have been someone's pet before getting lost or thrown out. She loves people and isn't shy showing her affections!
