Foster Update 6/23/11: Sidney loves attention  and petting, she prefers a small living area, does well with my two male cats, loves to look at herself in the mirrors, travels well in the car, sleeps in her carrier which gives her a sense of security and familiarity, and says "Good morning"and only in the morning! She is well adjusted and adapts to new people and places except the adoption center - which is too stressful for her!   She's  a very happy and healthy girl. We call her sweet sidney

Foster Update 4/18/11: I've discovered she does not like dogs. She is doing well with my 2 male cats.
She if very affectionate and now frisky and I think she is actually flirting with my older cat Rambeau! So her shyness and recluse nature was due to her surroundings at the center. She hates a brush. Don't go there. She may have been abused with some sort of tool like a hair brush.
She is eating very well and loves her cat container. This is very important to her and she needs to know it is in sight and available for naps. She prefers sleeping in it all night long. She actually closes the door herself!
"Bedtime!"
She loves her new orange collar.
