Foster Update 6/5/11: Pye has settled in, he's a fun, playful, very affectionate cat. He eats well, doesn't destroy things and has no problem letting you know that he wants some attention. He spends minutes in the litter pan cleaning it up and making a nice neat pile on one side of the pan, it's very funny! And he does this several times a day, lol!
He's adorable
Foster Update 5/15/11 - It took Pye a couple of weeks to fully come out of his shell but now that he has I can say that he's vocal. When I come home from work I put my keys and backpack away and pour food, he will rub against the sofa or bed in circles and "meow", letting me know he wants to say hi and for me to pet him. He's very affectionate, likes to sit on the computer desk while I type away. He enjoys the window sill, he plays with everything but he doesn't destroy anything as of yet. He doesn't chew on stuff and so far has not tried to destroy the curtains, sofa or bed material. He tries to get along with my older cat but the older cat doesn't really want the company lol, but there is no fighting.
Loud, abrupt noises frighten him such as Thunder, a door shutting loudly from outside (of course my neighbors aren't a good barometer for the outside noises, they aren't very quiet people), anything dropping on the floor, etc.
All in all he doesn't display any bad habits, uses the pan, eats well and is a wonderful cat to have around.
Foster Update - 3/30/11 - Pye is doing really well here. He's affectionate, still a little nervous but comes out when I get home from work and hangs out with me. When he wants affection he makes it well known... Once he nibbled on the calf of my leg. He's also become kinda the cleanup man. Whenever my older cat goes to the litter box, Pye comes in after him and spends like 5 or 7 minutes tidying up the litter until it's all in one big pile in the middle, it's hilarious!
