Description:
Harley is a very special dog who has suffered a sad change in his life. His owner was in a motorcycle accident and can no longer care for such a big dog. His owner's niece has been caring for him and has nothing but glowing things to say about this boy:

"Harley is a big mushball. He is so layed back, calm, and undemanding we have to check to make sure he is still here!!! His favorite thing to do when we are busy is lay around grooming our other dogs and cat. He doesn't dig or chew. He is a gentlemen through and through. He knows basic commands verbally and in sign. Harley is so gentle that the other dogs take total advantage of him. Our chihuahuas constently chase, bite, and bark at him. They will even take food out of his mouth. Harley loves to go for walks or rides in the car. He also enjoys playing fetch with you. However his absolute favorite thing is to sit next to you with his head on your leg and drool while you scratch behind his ears.

Harley is excellent with children. He may occasionally knock them down with his tail, but is very patient and gentle even when being stepped on, climbed on, or having ears and tail pulled. -OTHER DOGS-very submissive and patient. He is has been raised with teacup Chihuahuas and rottweilers. He will bark at other dogs being walked (outside the fence) when he is loose in the yard, but submits when they approach. Always the last one to eat, if given a treat my other dogs steal it from him. -CATS, FERRETS, RABBITS, BIRDS- Will sniff them, but then he looses interest. He will run if the other animal shows any aggression.

Harley has excellent indoor manners ( No digging in the trash, climbing on furniture or beds, no begging or going potty). He is also Crate trained.

He has been through trauma in the last year and a half without my uncle being here (Harley went everywhere with him...even to work and on dates). I just want him to go to a home where he has the love and attention he deserves, instead of being constantly picked on by 5 other dogs and a cat. He will make someone (or family) a loyal, loving, and wonderful companion. A home with children would be ideal, but a one on one home with adults would be great too! He is a large dog so he would also be great at warding off unwanted visiters. He is an excellent companion for another animal as well. He is very very submissive, so a home with a dominant or assertive dog/cat would not be ideal. He should not be tied outside or crated for long periods of time. He needs love and attention, not to be left alone constantly."

It seems to me that if you've always wanted a big dog, Harley would be the easiest one you could ever ask for!!!
