About Training Camp:
Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the Greyhound Advancement Center which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.
Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. (Don’t worry, the dogs are treated very well and are the apple of their trainer’s eye ).
Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family.
We can not thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home!

Buddy is a handsome and friendly guy that was saved by PRBJ from a high kill shelter. He is an overall sweet guy that deserves to finally have a great forever home.
He is strong and tends to pull on the leash when he goes for walks. So, he will just need training on learning not to pull. Training will be easier with this guy because he is very food motivated. And he needs more basic training on his doggie manners. He already has some training as he knows how to sit on command.
He is not a big fan on being crated but he has become better at going inside and not trying to bolt back out; it just isn't his favorite thing to do.
When he went out for Dog for A Day with an employee, we were informed that he was great with every dog he came across. However, he tends to be dog-selective here at our center.
Please apply to come and meet Buddy. He is going to be a fabulous family pet for a lucky family.
