Luna was left outside the rescue in a carrier with a note saying they found her but could not care for her.  They took time to write out a note but not come into the center.  Luckily the weather was cool out and someone noticed her alone out there.  It could have been bad for her even with cooler weather since she was in full sun and no water left.  Staff was happy when we found she was chipped but quickly lost hope when the information from the chip company was a no longer working phone number and no response via email.  She was then posted hoping her family just might be looking but still nothing.  Luna was updated on vaccines and then made available for adoption.
