Isn't Athena one of the most beautiful Rotties you have ever seen? She has come available for adoption because her families home situation has changed. They want her to find a wonderful home and have written this about her:
"we are moving from the house to a condo and the association does not allow her breed. she loves to play ball, eat, sleep, eat, sleep.... she loves to be outside in my fenced in back yard and sunbath. sometimes she will refuse to come into the airconditioned house, and sometimes she refuses to leave the airconditioned house to go outside. she is very friendly and loves attention. she likes going for a walk around the neighborhood on a leash, just to see who is out and who she can say hello to. the vet techs had to take some xrays of her and told me when i picked her up that she was the easiest dog to ever have to manouver on thier xray table, she would allow them to position her any way that they needed, and stay until they moved her again. she likes to get a bath, but loves the rub-down with the towel even better."

This breed needs a lot of companionship and socialization to be truly happy. They can be aggressive with other dogs and should be kept on leashes in public places. Friends and relatives of the family are normally enthusiastically welcomed. Strangers can get no further than the sidewalk. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
