Meet Kaizen, a truly beautiful little fluffy Pomeranian boy.

Kaizen and his friend, Storm, were surrendered to PRBJ when their family found that they no longer had time and energy for these two fur babies.  Storm was adopted and now sweet Kaizen is anxiously awaiting his forever home, too.

Kaizen is a happy-go-lucky guy who wants to please his people and be with them. He is best in a home where his people are with him much of the day, as he loves companionship.

Kaizen has a friendly disposition and is good with other dogs and also with kitties!

He is reported to have gone on long road trips and does great in the car. Kaizen is playful and loves belly rubs.

Although 3 years old, he has the playful antics of a young puppy. It is a joy to watch him play. He is very energetic and takes a while to calm down and stop jumping on people.

Here at the center, Kaizen seems to prefer female dogs. As he can get nippy, we are recommending an adult only home to keep little hands safe.

Unfortunately, his owners did not take time to potty and obedience train either of these dogs, so Kaizen will need a little more work on learning good doggie etiquette as well as potty training; although, he does well if he is crated.  Bonus! Training is a great way to bond with your furry friend.

Poms must have regular grooming (please see below) to avoid mats and possible resulting skin irritations.  So, new owners need to be ready for visits to the doggie salon every 6 weeks.

More about Pomeranian breed grooming:

  • Regular brushing (every other day is good) helps maintain a healthy coat, free from tangles or mats that could lead to skin irritation.
  • A slicker brush can help remove excess hair and make grooming easier for you and your pup. This is just one of the tools needed in a well-equipped Pomeranian home grooming kit.
  • The hind quarters and eye area must also be kept clean, as well as nails trimmed.  Sanitary trims are desirable.
  • Pomeranian bath frequency should be at least once a month during winter and more often in summer if the dog gets very dirty.
