Sprocket and his son, Kingsley, were brought to PRBJ when their owner was unable to care for them due to her failing health.
Sprocket is a little protective of his food, so they do need to be separated while feeding, but that is the only time they have disagreements. These two have been together for 7 years and MUST be adopted TOGETHER. They are crate trained and enjoy sleeping together in a place they feel safe. As the pair can be food and toy protective, they are best as the only dogs in the home. They do not like cats.
More about Boston Terriers: Bostons have a sleek, fine coat which does shed somewhat. Weekly brushing with a soft-bristle brush, a rubber grooming mitt or tool, or a hound glove will help to remove the loose hair. A good brushing also promotes new hair growth and distributes skin oils throughout the coat to help keep it healthy.
Protecting the Boston Terrier's beautiful, but prominent, eyes is of special importance. The eyes should be checked daily for redness or irritation. Some owners carry saline eye drops to flush out dust or debris. Like all flat-faced breeds, Bostons can experience difficulty breathing when not given adequate shelter from excessive heat or humidity.
