Description:

Dottie knows his name very well so we kept it. He is a real sweetheart and came to us with his buddy, Sadie. They do not need to be adopted together but would probably love it if they were!

Dottie may mark in the house, so you may want to keep a belly band on him if you cannot watch him. He has been doing better as the days go by, and the main thing is to make sure he actually goes while he is outside instead of just sniffing! This could have been due to being at a new house with several other fosters.

He is a senior with plenty of love and energy left to give. He has cataracts in both eyes, but they do not seem to affect his vision. His hearing seems very good!  We did see him have what appeared to be a seizure, one time, but that was a couple of days after he was first with us and it has now been about three weeks without any other such events. We would really like to see him have a fence with a yard.

Dottie is cautious at first and prefers slow movements as he seems to fear being scolded or in trouble. If you sit on the floor with him, he will work his way to sitting in your lap quickly. He loves to keep you company on the couch as well!  He loves to be right with you and will be right at your heels when out in the yard. He is crate trained and sleeps in one at night as well as when he eats. When he arrived to PRBJ, the only thing he would eat was Cesar pate. His fosters have started gradually adding dry kibble, and now he is eating that as well:)

Dottie will make somebody an amazing and loving companion and who could resist that face with those big ears!
