Mimi's owner had some health issues that required her to be hospitalized for some time.  Her family came from out of state to take care of her and planned to move her in with them.  Unfortunately, the son already has 4 large dogs who are not friendly with small dogs.  So to keep little Mimi safe, the family reached out to PRBJ to help find her a new home. 
ShihTzus are friendly by nature and do not require much activity. They do need regular grooming every 6 weeks or so and love to be with their humans most of the day. As with many small dogs, they should be socialized with new people and animals so they don't develop "spoiled little dog" behaviors.
