Description:

Max arrived at PRBJ with his mom and 4 siblings from a high-kill shelter. This little Hound Mix family is sweet and playful. They are hoping to begin the new year with forever families to call their own.
Energetic needs lots exercise
These are curious, clever, and energetic pups who require plenty of playtime.  Most Hound breeds show their affection quietly, so expect plenty of slobbery kisses and less excited barking when you come back home.  As with all dogs, early socialization and puppy training classes are a must. Treats are a huge aid in training. Hounds respond well to patient and positive reinforcement.... and even a little creativity will win out in the end.
They are acutely aware of their owner's emotions and are sensitive, loving dogs! No need to raise your voice to Hounds as they will think they have disappointed you....calm and consistent redirection is best:)

Like all working breeds, Hounds utilize their natural canine behavior to do the jobs that we humans have developed them for. Hounds are specialists in locating prey with either their keen eyesight or their incredible noses. They are wonderful family companions who enjoy time with their humans and then snuggling up for a nap!
