• An adult only home with a securely fenced backyard to keep me safe and sound.
• An owner who will stay in the yard with me as I could easily be scooped up by a hawk since I am  only 5 pounds! That is really scary. I very much love being in the yard.
• An owner who will respect my space. Sometimes I really want to be held and other times I just want a little alone time. 
• A home where barking is not an issue. I have a big bark for a little dude and will use it when I want or need something! So, apartments are not for me.
• A single-story home with no stairs due to my limitations, although I don't let my so-called limitations bother me! 
• A home where things are not rearranged much so I can become familiar with the surroundings.

Rupert was found as a stray and was in poor condition. He is blind and one of his eyes was in terrible condition and ended up needing to be removed.  He was stinky, covered in fleas and had patchy hair and protruding hip bones.  His hair is getting nice and fluffy and he is still thin but eating is not a problem.  And he's not stinky anymore!  He loves, loves, loves to eat.  He is very funny because his nose goes up in the air and he is like a hound when he smells food, and he also has an excellent sense of smell.
  We have noticed that he maps out places in the house fairly well as he knows to find the front door and also one of the large dog crates that he likes to lay in sometimes (of his own choice). He really loves being out in the yard and moves confidently and rapidly! He will need somebody with him at all times outside both to guide him and to keep him safe as he is so tiny. Sometimes he likes to be held and other times he wants to do his own thing. Rupert does need vaseline applied to the tip of his penis on occasion.
