Princess's owner had some personal responsibilities and could no longer take care of her and was surrendered to a high-kill shelter. Princess is good with other dogs and kids. She is very playful and is crate trained.  
 

Princess likes walks but can pull. She knows basic commands and is well behaved. She does get excited and can jump up but easily listens when corrected. She does great on car rides and is very loving. She likes other dogs and is not reactive when other dogs are barking at her. She has shown she prefers larger dogs to small ones and should be in a home with a medium or large size fur friend. She also loves children and does great with them. 

One of her D4D (dog for a day) people said yes we have a program that allows you to take one of our dogs out for the entire day!

Princess absolutely lives up to her name. This golden girl was a treat to spend the day with. After the initial excitement of the first meeting, she quickly settled down and got comfortable in the car for the ride to the park. She was wonderful in the car and enjoyed some pets along the way. 

At the park, Princess enjoyed walking around and exploring, but she liked laying in the shade and people watching even more. To take a break from the heat Princess came in and plopped herself down on the floor where she enjoyed lots of belly rubs. She gratefully returned all the love given to her with lots of kisses. After being invited onto the couch, Princess made herself comfortable and took a quick nap. 

With a bit of rest she was ready for more activity, so she took a trip through the Starbucks drive through for a pup cup. She loved all of the attention from the baristas telling her how pretty she is. She waited very patiently for her pup cup, and had very good manners when it had to be taken away. 

After her little treat, Princess took a trip to Lake Eola. She walked on the harness like a dream. She did not pull at all, and needed little redirection when distracted by the Eola geese or passing people. She even got a few compliments on how good of a girl she is! Many dogs passed by Princess, but she was mostly unbothered by their presence as she was too busy exploring all the smells in the grassy areas.
