Norman is a super sweet little man. He is a senior, but he gets around great. He is a kisser, so be careful if you are holding him near your face as he might just get you right in the mouth! His foster parents have told us that he is completely potty trained and he will let you know with a bark if he needs to go out (though it did take a couple of days at their house for him to know which door to go to). He loves to snuggle up to you close on the couch. He also likes to have "alone time" (if you catch our drift) with dog blankets and beds. He doesn't like to be bothered when he's snuggled up and will give you a little bark to leave him alone. Because of this behavior, we do not want him in a home with children or visiting children since some are over-eager to snuggle or play with a cute dog like Norman.
Norman has a sensitive trachea which causes him to occasionally cough. Because of this, he is taking a cough suppressant to help soothe him and he must not be walked on a collar but with a harness. Because he's an old man he has a little bit of a bum knee and a few missing teeth. He limps a tiny bit on it. His foster parents have been making sure that he does not jump off of surfaces like the couch or bed and since they have been doing this it has improved quite a bit!
