CONGRATULATIONS TO BERNIE WHO GRADUATED TRAINING CAMP AND RECEIVED HER CERTIFICATE AND RIBBON.    

 

Pet Rescue By Judy teamed up with an incredible program called the  Greyhound Advancement Center , which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. Our dogs were so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family

Bernie and her bestie, Kipper, were surrendered to Pet Rescue by Judy, though no fault of their own. They are both happy little dogs who are good with children.  Bernie and Kipper can be adopted separately or together:)

  Bernie is potty-trained and does fine in a house when left alone. She is used to sleeping in bed with her owner, and they love to go on walks/runs.  A fenced-in backyard would be beneficial as Bernie likes to explore and they love to run and play.  Bernie can be an escape artist, so her owners will need to be cautious around open doors.

 

Bernie would do best with an active owner that likes to walk. She is affectionate and love to take naps after some exercise. Bernie will try to chase squirrels, so we don’t recommend a home with cats.
Bernie is available for dog4day, fostering, or adoption. If you are looking for a buddy to take on long walks and adventures, Bernie is your kind of dog! At 32 lbs., Bernie is a great choice for owners wanting a compact companion...not too small, not too big:) 

Foster Update 11/12/2022

We have been fostering Bernie for about a week and she has been a wonderful house guest. We picked Bernie up just prior to the storm, Nicole, hitting Florida.  Not knowing Bernie, we weren't sure how she would react to the rain, wind, and change of home.  She was amazing because of her lovely calm temperament.  We walked (most of it in the rain, had a bath (after many water puddles) and visited with both people and dogs.  This is a very special animal. She added a lot of laughs and enjoyment to our household and would make a marvelous pet for any home.
