May 23rd foster update:   If you are looking for a playful, affectionate, sweet girl who loves to cuddle look no further. Koda has only been in our foster home for 5 days and she has already shown her true self. Koda may be shy at first, but she comes out of her shell very quickly. She loves to play with toys, loves belly rubs, and loves cuddles. Koda is also housetrained, crate trained, and knows how to sit and lay down! She is very good with adults and seems to get along with children as well. Koda does well with other dogs, but she would prefer to not have any smaller animals in the home.  Koda is a very well trained, quiet, loving, playful girl who would love to find her forever home. Can you be that for her?

Pet Rescue By Judy rescued Koda from a local kill shelter. She is nervous here at the shelter with the other dogs barking at her, but when she is in the play yard she has played well with the other couple of dogs we have put her with.

It seems like she may have been abused in the past because she gets nervous when someone she does not know reaches toward her face. She does not nip or growl, she just seems a little scared. Koda  is very, very sweet and would do best with a calm owner/family to build trust and show her that people are loving and gentle:)

Her best home would be one with either no children or older/ respectful children who will give her time to acclimate to a new environment. If you would like to meet her please fill out an application on our website.
