Our beautiful  Moonie was living on the streets for quite a while. When she was found, she was very, very sweet,  skinny, and starving ( see photo below).

Moonie is very comfortable with us, but since she was living on the streets for so long and had limited interaction with people, she is still trying to figure out which actions are safe with people and which are not. We do not advise children at this time due to her limited interaction with people. She has not yet been in playgroups with other dogs, so we would advise her to be the only pet in the home.

Her ideal home is with an owner/family who enjoys her silliness, love for attention, and need for a sense of safety and security.

While she is house and leash trained, she does not like to be outside alone. She will go out to potty but then wants to come back in. Poor girl probably feels she will be abandoned again.

Moonie does enjoy her walks with the staff and volunteers. She is toy assertive, so new owners will need to work with her on sharing her things.
