Sprinkles is currently in foster care with her sisters, Brittany and Stripes. Her foster mom said she is the sweetest dog. She loves other dogs, people, and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She is quiet, enjoys walks and playing with her sisters. She would do well in a house with dogs her size and where someone is home to walk her regularly. She is house-trained but needs regular walks or access to a fenced-in yard to be perfect. She is good at riding in the car, but we recommend harnessing her because she wants to sit with the driver.
Any home would be improved with Sprinkles in it.
We would like these dogs to either be with another small dog, adopted with a sibling, or have an owner who is home most of the day. These little babies are so used to being together or with someone they have a hard time being alone.
Chihuahuas are lively, loyal, intelligent, spunky, playful and friendly dogs.
They burrow under blankets, dance on their hind legs, wave their paws in the air, and lick everything in sight!
Most Chihuahuas need little obedience training.
Chihuahuas need to learn where to go to the bathroom, and where not to go – and this can
be
the biggest training challenge in this breed.
PRBJ got a call from Hernando County asking for help in saving 29 small dogs who were living in a hoarding situation. The owners were being evicted, and the dogs had nowhere to go. Judy and the team didn’t hesitate to go help these poor babies, and the 29 Chihuahua mixes were rescued and brought back to PRBJ.
**Currently, we are in the process of assessing their needs and getting them cleaned up and comfortable. PRBJ is determined to give them a new start so that they can have great homes and live the lives they deserve. Once we have more information on each dog, we will update their webpages~*
