Dog for a Day 5/1/21 :

Judy received a text message from a high kill shelter asking if we would be able to help a very sweet dog who has a very badly injured right eye. Judy rushed there to get the dog and took him right over to our vet. They fixed him up beautifully and he is ready to go to his new home. He is a good boy and is very food motivated which helps with training.
   Ruger has had an eye surgery called Entropian Surgery. This procedure is often needed for Shar Peis because their bottom eyelids tend to turn inwards causing their eyelashes to grow into their eyes. Ruger's surgery was a success! His bottom eyelids droop a little because of it, but he is still adorable! 
 
Ruger would love a home with another canine buddy to play with and an active family who is home a lot to socialize and hang out with. He would be best in an adult home or with older/considerate children. Please fill out an application to meet him!
