Description:

Bentley will make his new family a great little companion. He is sweet and gives lots of love to anyone around him.

9/21 update: Bently  would do best with someone who is home a lot, no small kids, please. He likes being the only dog, but tolerates with dogs with a good introduction. As he barks at other dogs on walks, we do not think he would be a dog park kinda guy. He doesn't need long walks and is content with shorter walks or time in the yard. We have found that he is a picky eater. Bently has done well in new situations and meeting new people and seems to luv all his human friends:) He is a sweet boy who would love a quieter, adult home to cuddle, play a bit outside, and then nap.

His foster family says he is a great addition to their home. He is potty trained if you give him regular walks or access to your yard. He loves to take naps and sleeps through the night but prefers to be in your bed. He becomes very attached to anyone in the home and prefers not to be alone. He rides well in the car and likes visiting new places and meeting people. He gets along well with our same-size female dog, but really doesn’t know how to play. For this reason, I would say he is a better people companion than a dog companion. He likes going for walks, but will bark at other dogs. He would do best in a home without small children.

Yorkies must be groomed every couple of months or so, please keep that in mind before adopting. He also has a cute underbite that doesn’t affect anything, but it does make him a messy eater and he can be picky about his food.

Bentley will make his new family a great little companion. He's a sweet little dog with lots of love to give. Though he barks and pulls at other dogs while he's on a leash, we let him meet a small dog here at the shelter off leash and they got along just fine.  He does not seem to like small children so we are requiring that his new owner has no children and no visiting children. If you are interested in meeting Bentley please fill out an adoption application on our website.
