Butter update:  I just wanted to pass along some info from my wonderful overnight with Butters.  She did wonderfully.  She loves attention and being near people.  She would do really well in a home where she is the only dog and can be loved by her humans.  She loved the beach and got used to the elevator.

BUTTER is in a foster home, and her foster mom has sent us a write-up with updated information so we can find her the perfect home:
  Butter is a love! She is a cuddler and speed racer all rolled into one. She would be best in an adult home where her family is home most of the day. Children are not recommended as she gets nippy- this is not over food or toys, it just happens out of the blue. She also prefers to be the only dog in the home as to have all your attention.
  Butter is perfect for someone who would not mind this sweetheart cuddling on your lap and sleeping near you at night...she cannot get close enough to her person.  She can be very vocal, so apartment/close town homes may not be the best fit for her. Butter would love a fenced in backyard to romp and play in as she loves to run and run~ 
  So all in all, this sweet little dog needs to be the only dog in an adult home where she can cuddle and play in her backyard all day.

   Butter is true to her namesake; she melts on you like butter. She is incredibly loving, and sweet and wants to be with her people to give and get love. She is super spry and playful, loves all measure of toys and enjoys playtime outside.  Her favorite thing to do is be by her human napping or just sitting quietly watching and enjoying her family. She is fully potty trained and will signal when she needs to go out but also understands the command, “do you want to go potty” & “let’s go potty.” She also understands the command, “sit,” but gets excited to go outside so she won’t sit for too long.

Outside Butter is a runner, she LOVES to run and jump and hop- yes, hop… outside, if you turn on a hose and swing it from side to side in your backyard, Butter will chase it and play with it for hours on end if you let her. We had a kid's sprinkler toy outside that she loved to play with. She also loves playing catch with balls or sticks, if you throw it she will go get it and bring it back, if you buy a kids bubble blower she will chase and hop and try to catch the bubbles as well, its so adorable. She does have a lot of energy so plenty of outdoor playtime is ideal.
