He finally is feeling comfortable enough to the point where he regularly talks to me, and last night he even gave me a nose bump and started "kneading biscuits"!!!
I found some toys he likes, and he plays with them a LOT, and he's scratching his scratch board, and just overall being a very happy cat. We still move very slowly because fast movement makes him nervous, and we haven't introduced him to the rest of the house yet. He's very content in his little world and we'll slowly expand that as he's ready!
The only thing is he's afraid of coming down from the shelf. When we had put his food down on the floor, he didn't eat and we realized he couldn't figure out how to get down. He always looks down like he wants to come down, but he seems to be too nervous to walk on the ramp that's there for some reason. So I'm working on getting him acclimated to the ramp by fee
ding him on it little by little.
Huey was an owner surrender he lived with many cats and is a little shy but will come around with time.
