Description:
Due to her fearful nature, Gretchen is going to need an adult home as children are likely to really scare her.
Gretchen and his siblings, Tammy Lee and Joe Diffy, were surrendered to Pet Rescue by Judy from a high kill shelter. All puppies are very playful, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and fixed.
UPDATE:
Gretchen was returned to Pet Rescue by Judy. Gretchen needs an owner who is going to give her the time to open up/blossom. She is only 4 months old and she came to us from a high kill shelter. Her owners were told by their vet that she needed a trainer to help her become more relaxed not so fearful. Since she came back we see a different dog. She has been socializing with a volunteer just sitting in her lap. We see that Gretchen is most comfortable with a person that is calm and loving and does not mind giving their time to work with her and let her feel secure. We have put some photos below showing her relaxing with our volunteer. We are aware that loud noises do startle her. She is not housetrained, but having someone home taking her out more often will help to train her. We think she would do well in a home with another gentle, submissive dog. She has made friends with a small puppy at her foster home as well as a larger dog named Kiwi.
