Bolt is a loving boy who loves to go on long walks. He is a strong walker on the leash and has lots of energy, so he needs an active family who can take him on long walks as well as have a yard. Bolt loves to be with people. He is food assertive, so when feeding he must be separated from any other animals in the home.

Bolt recently got to leave the shelter for the day because of our dog for the day program. Here is what the nice family that took him had to say about him
" In the car ride, he may have been nervous because he just met us, the weather was a little cloudy, or our car was simply too small for him. Based on our car ride with him, it seems Bolt would do better in a medium or large   c ar as he likes to move around a bit in the car if he is not crated. Once we got to the house, Bolt was re ally respectful and listened very well. We live in a two-story duplex and Bolt never went upstairs; he also never got up on the couch unless   we said he could. Whenever we said no to Bolt, he would listen to the first "no" and give some space. Bolt is also very playful; he likes to play hide-n-seek and tug-of-war. I think Bolt would like some mental stimulation when he is indoors, but when he gets   tired of being inside, he will let you know with a small cry or whine. Bolt is very strong on the leash; it can be hard to change direction and it is sometimes difficult to get his attention outside. Still, he really is a great dog for an active and loving   pet owner/family
