Tanner is a loving puppy. He is very shy at first, but enjoys playing and going on adventures. He came to us with his mother and his brother, Benito, from Sumter County. Since he is new to the shelter, we will be evaluating his personality and updating the website accordingly.
Tanner, Benito, and Diamond all arrived together at PRBJ. Tanner showed slight signs of Parvo disease, and we felt it best to treat all 3 dogs to be on the safe side. In order to be cautious, we recommend adopters of these sweeties, to keep them away from dog parks/interactions with and any non-family (fully vaccinated) canines until 5/21 as Parvo can be 'shed off' a dog for up to 40 days, and restricting canine interactions will prevent the spread to a non-vaccinated dog (another reason it is so important to keep dog's up to date on required vaccines)
Tanner did well on a cat test at our shelter, however, slow and cautious introductions are always recommended when introducing dogs and cats. There is lots of information available online about how to integrate a new dog into your household with cats.
Tanner is not available for fostering at this time.
