Hot Cocoa was found abandoned at the park across the street from our shelter.   People saw a man bring the dog into the park and take her collar off and jump back in their car. Pet Rescue by Judy did everything we could to locate the owner with no success. Hot Cocoa is a really sweet dog who would make a great addition to a famiy. She is good with our other dogs and with the staff.  She is looking for someone to take her home and treat her with the care and love that she deserves.

DOG 4 A DAY UPDATE:  Hot Cocoa went out on Dog 4 a Day this weekend and the family who took her out sent us this adorable picture and said, "Hot Cocoa is great with kids! Hot Cocoa was a total pleasure to hang out with. She was great with my two kids! We have been watching "The Dog Whisperer" lately (1st time watchers) and we practiced some of the tips on the show for leading a dog on a nice walk (not much recent experience with dog handling in my family) and Hot Cocoa was very responsive to us and behaved well. We had a pleasant walk along the Sanford Riverwalk. She will make an awesome family dog!"
