Description: Dominic was found as a stray by one of our wonderful volunteers. She search and searched for his owner, but finally gave up and brought him to Judy. He has been neutered, but no microchip which is a lesson to us all to make sure we microchip our animals. Dominic is very shy and sweet so he'll need someone who is will to give him lots of love and patience.
5/19 Foster Update: I decided to bring Dominic home with me to get him out of the shelter because he was extremely withdrawn there. I have a 13 month old son Connor who is petrified of dogs. But Connor has warmed up to Dominic and is now romping about the house with him as if they are the best of friends. I have no reservations what so ever about walking out of a room and the two of them being together. Dominic has allowed Connor to come to him and has layed gently for him to explore and get to know him.(even with my little tyke sticking his fingers in his nostrils and tugging at his toes. Dominic sleeps in bed with us and spoons us both...He does snore though :)and often times will find himself another spot in the house to sleep or in his doggie bed next to us. He is beyond potty trained. He will hold is urine until he goes outside. If he see's someone walking toward the door he will happily let u know that he needs to relieve himself. I have had him for a week now and there have been NO accidents. When he is alone in the house he does not tear anything up or become destructive. And I never crate him, I have found no need for it. He shows no signs of aggression what so ever. He is just a BIG ham. Altho he did find the bunny rather intriguing but ultimately he was scared of even it. He never barks, and absolutely loves squeaky toys!!! He also very much enjoys playing Frisbee in the back yard. If I was on the market for a loving playful Velcro companion this would by FAR be the guy. He is very low maintenance and only requires love and a little play time.He also knows how to sit , stay and lay down :) The best well trained dog a man could ask for!!!
