Jennie's Profile

Let me fill the hole in your heart!

I'm not just a beauty with my stunning, long white whiskers and luxurious tuxedo-colored coat of fur. I'm also a special and highly-valued kind of kitty, called a Manx. People pay hundreds of dollars for cats like me!

The bodies of Manx kitties are a little different than other cats. You probably know I was born without a tail (which gives me the cutest behind ever!), but you may not know that we have extra long hind legs and a shorter spine that other cats, giving us an unusual gait.

Instead of running, I hop like a bunny! In fact, my foster parents like to call me Little Bunny Foo Foo, or Bunny for short, due to my cute little hop. Some people actually believe kitties were bred with rabbits at some point to make the first Manx. (That's not really true, but it sure does make for a fun story!)

Here's a fun article that will tell you a little more about my breed: https://www.petmd.com/cat/pet_lover/MM_5_funfacts_manx_cat

I'm in a foster home right now and loving every minute of life, but I'm so ready for a forever home and someone of my very own to love. Is that you?

My foster parents say they've never met a more affectionate kitty. I absolutely love being with a human! Not to brag or anything, but I may be the sweetest kitty in the world.

Here are a few things I'm looking for in a new mommy or daddy:

1) Someone who enjoys having a kitty on their lap or sitting next to them for most of the day.
2) Someone who enjoys having a kitty snuggle against them all night long. (Seriously, I can't get enough of love!)
3) Someone who will play with me for about 30 minutes each day. (I'm still very young and need that play time!!!)
4) Someone who won't leave me home alone too much each day. (I'm not bad when I'm left alone, but I sure do love being with people!)
5) Someone who will pay attention when I ask for canned food (usually twice a day).
6) Someone who isn't stingy with the catnip!!!

I'm very easy to get along with. I communicate really well, so it won't take long for you to understand me when I'm asking for something.

I don't mind being held against your chest. I'll even give you a sweet hug when you pick me up. Just please put me down when I tell you I've had enough. (I'm more of a lap kitty, anyway.)

I hope you don't mind if I follow you around the house. I like to keep an eye on my human and give you little bumps against your legs to remind you how much I love you! (If you have balance issues, I'm so sorry, but I may not be right for you.)

I'm very active and playful, so I need someone who can keep up with me. At the shelter, I was comfortable with other cats, so another playful kitty with careful introduction might take care of that need.

My foster parents laugh when they see me standing over my feather toy and giving them the "play with me" look. They also think it's funny to do a countdown when they get into bed to see how long it takes for me to join them.

I'm very polite, though. I usually wait for you to invite me onto your lap or bed while we're getting to know each other, so don't be shy!!!

My foster mom is typing this up for me. (What, you thought I was doing this on my own?!) She insists on telling you that I'm good about getting baths (even if I don't like them) and that I need someone to regularly trim my nails. That's not because I'll scratch you, it's to keep you from getting hurt while I purr and knead my paws on your lap! (Oh, did I forget to tell you I'm a master-level biscuit maker?)

So, how about it? Won't you please adopt me and make me your forever snuggle-bunny?
