MARCH 19 Dog 4 a Day Update: (see pictures and video below
) Adele
's initial timidness will quickly blossom into affectionate and playful confidence. We decided to bring
Adele
home first and we introduced her to our almost 1 year old puppy (who is extremely energetic and overly excited). It took about 40 minutes and the two became fast friends, so they ended up playing together ALL day. We have kids (ages 11/12) and she was extremely good with them, snuggling all the time. At first, she was a little scared of house noises like the blender or the kitchen pans but by the evening,
Adele
was no longer concerned with the sounds. She is a majestic runner and needs space to run and be active. She is playful and gentle - not once did I have to separate the dogs.
Adele
responds to the command "come" even better than our dog. If I whistled for her if she went out of site in our yard, she quickly responded and came running to me. She doesn't know other basic commands but we started to train her with the "sit" command. She just needs some extra attention with her training. She slept the whole night in a crate, no accidents. Whenever we sat on the couch or a chair, she came to us, put her paws on our lap and just wanted to lick us. She just wants love and attention, she will follow you where ever you go in the house. I think she'll be a great addition to any family. (BTW - she loves to take selfies) :-)
Beautiful Adele is so sweet. She was owner surrendered to a high kill because she does not "hunt". At first when you meet her she is shy, but will warm up to you very soon. She will enjoy you petting her and just being with her. She is good with other dogs, kids, livestock and about 95% crate trained.
If you are interested in this sweet girl please complete an adoption application. You will then be assigned a screener who will review your application and correspond with you through email.
Whoever adopts Adele will be getting a very sweet girl.
