12/23/2017:  We recommend that Lucky be the only pet in the household with one owner.

Sadly Lucky's owner passed away and he was surrendered to Pet Rescue by Judy.   Lucky wants you to know his story as written by an aquantance of his owner.
I was originally a rescue dog from a high kill shelter.  My previous owner gave me up without me even having a name and telling the shelter that I would often run away from home.  Several of the tech's at the Vet's office and a couple of trainers that interviewed me felt that I was beaten, abused and was possibly a Junk Yard Dog.  Then my new owner came into my life and he loved me uncondtionally as I loved him.  He saved my life when he adopted me.  When he passed away a nice lady took me home with her till I got to Judy's.  She told Judy that I can be nervous by nature and that I have not been exposed to children or people much.  I am housetrained and well behaved in a home regarding furnishings and household items.  I do all my business outside.  I am a happy greeter, excitable and I howl in excitement.  I was very loyal to my owner and protective of him.   I love my dry food and treats and I used to have filtered water left for me all day everyday.  I enjoy walks, we used to walk 2 to 3 times a day in a quiet cul-de-sac.    I am loyal and loveable to whoever is petting me, I really do enjoy being petted.  When there is a storm my owner would walk and nurture me.  I love to be picked up and catered too.  Since I am protective of my master  I was told I might do better with men, but I live with Judy and we are fine together.  I think you should meet me first and I hope you will understand I miss my owner Joseph and if I am scared you will understand why.   Thank you .   Lucky....
