APRIL 2020 FOSTER UPDATE :  

Age is just a number. I’m about 9 or 10 years old, which is about 55-60 in human years. I’m entering my retirement years and would love a nice quiet home to call my own! I may be an older girl, but I’ve got a lot of love left to give. Give me a chance to win your heart, and I promise I won’t disappoint you! 

I’m housebroken, crate trained, well mannered, and I love curling up in my bed and taking long naps. I know basic commands and I walk really well on a leash. I don’t have a lot of energy to burn, but I love going out for a casual stroll to smell the roses. 

Before going to my foster home, I was in the shelter for about 2 years. I’m very curious about the outside world but also apprehensive in new environments. I do best with routine and structure. My ideal home would be a quiet place with no other pets or children. Although I’m a timid and anxious dog, I don’t bark excessively like some dogs do when they are scared or nervous. In fact, my foster parents have not heard me bark once! I’ll need some time to adjust to a new home, but once I get to know you I won’t leave your side. 

Patsy is a sweet senior girl who truly deserves a home of her own. She is a little bit of a nervous girl when she is not in one of her safe spaces (her room or her play yard) but if she had whole house that she would feel safe in we think she would be thrilled! She needs strong toys to chew on because she loves loves to chew them up. 
She would be happiest in a home where she is the only animal (though she wouldn't mind a submissive dog). 
Her ideal home would be with an older couple or single person with a small back yard to go out into.
