Description:
Lucky is a sweet little terrier. Her owner says she looks like a mix between a Rotweiller and a Minature Pincher. Well, my mind won't even go there, so I'm going with a mix of a Manchester Terrier and Shepherd....

According to her owner, "Lucky is an incredibly loving and friendly 8-year old female terrier of mixed breed. She weighs about 20 lbs and she looks like a small and very cute Rotweiler Terrier/Miniature Pincher mix. I first met Lucky when one my co-workers brought her into work in a small box as a tiny puppy. She had been left out in front of her door with a letter asking to please take care of her, since Gloria was known as the neighborhood “dog lady”. At the time, Lucky was tiny, skinny, anemic, dehydrated and had very little energy…she could barely walk. We took her to the VET immediately, and she said that had it been a few more days, she may not have survived – hence the name “Lucky”. So, for the next few days at work we all took care of her, Gloria (my co-worker), kept brining her into work with her and we bathed her, gave her food and water, a comfy bed to cuddle up in, she had an overflow of stuffed animals and toys and through everyone’s love and care we eventually we nurtured her back to good health. Needless to say in those first few days, after looking into those dark, beautiful puppy eyes I completely fell in love with her! She gave me “that look,” that deep longing gaze that tells you she’s meant for you…and I knew…Well, when it was time for Gloria to finally find a good home for her I immediately volunteered to take her in…and she’s been like a daughter to me ever since. This story is only the beginning of what has turned out to be one of the most meaningful relationships of my life. Lucky’s perseverance during her first few weeks of life absolutely shaped her caring and loving nature and she has not stopped being an endless source of LOVE and JOY for our family. I have no doubt that Lucky will continue to spread her love to others and she will be loyal and affectionate to any family who takes her in and takes genuine care of her.

Lucky has a Black short-haired coat with brown, beige and white accents on her face chest and paws. (Like a Shepherd pattern) and she has a short tail. So, when she wags her tail her entire behind essentially wags…one of my FAVORITE things about her…so, she looks like she’s doing a little dance. She sheds very little and requires minimal grooming/care.

She is completely house trained, she is usually walked two times a day. If for some reason she really has to go, she will stand by the door, paw at the door or come grab you to let you know she has to go. She sleeps indoors on a large pillow with blankets or her own small bed. She likes to play with stuffed animals. She eats mostly dry dog food and she does very well with baths, usually in the tub.

She is a very mild tempered, sweet, happy dog and loves to cuddle. She is an INDCREDIBLY FRIENDLY dog! She makes friends easily, and she is partial to men for some reason, but does well with women also, she LOVES my mom. She will cuddle all day long if it was up to her and she is unbelievably loyal. She is a very mild tempered, sweet, happy dog and loves to cuddle. She is a great family dog and is great company for most any age but I would be hesitant to have her around kids younger than 5 years old. She's extremely loyal and obedient; she sits, lays, rolls over, gives paw. She is especially enthusiastic to do any of these if you offer her a treat :0) She also speaks Spanish. Lucky is just an overall wonderful dog.

As for other pets, she gets along okay with other dogs, but she prefers to play on her own. She is a bit exclusive when it comes to her family and owners, she doesn’t like to share us  Although that said, we did get a new Labrador pup last year and she learned to live in peace with him, despite his incredibly hyper and playful nature. So she is mild tempered enough to adjust to most situations. As for cats, she tends to just shy away from them, doesn’t really like to engage them…mostly due to one ba
