Miss Roe came to us from Judy's best friend Rose. That is where she got her wonderful name. She was very scared and now has blossomed into a wonderful lady and is ready for her lifetime home!

Somebody likes her ears scratched!!!
I've been observing Roe from afar for a couple months now, letting her come around on her own, and decide for herself what she thinks of us crazy food-bringers. Well, apparently, we aren't half bad because today, Roe came over for a good long ear rub! I was totally surprised, but I went with it. Soon, she was letting me stroke her back, and even rolled over and put her feet in the air! I have a feeling we have a lap-princess-in-training with this one. :)

Roe has moved into the Playroom! She is an absolute JOY to watch. She loves other cats, and will run up and touch noses with everyone in the room (even those that aren't too keen on socializing, but they seem to tolerate her). She's also quite playful, and has joined the pack in running to the door whenever they see a new person come in. She can still be a little shy after her initial greeting, but Roe is a beautiful cat with a great big heart that is definitely ready for her new home.
According to the Cat Fancier's Association, the Maine Coon is the native American longhaired cat and was recognized as a specific breed in Maine where they were held in high regard for their mousing talents. Through nature’s own breeding program, this breed has developed into a sturdy cat ideally suited to the harsh winters and varied seasons of the region. The Maine Coon is well known for its loving nature, kindly disposition and great intelligence. Maines are especially good with children and dogs and have always been a popular and sought after companion.
