Jersey the Puppy's sister, Helena the Puppy (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
Description: Jersey is a sweet young puppy. At first we though he was a lab mixed with Samoyed. But now that he is older and his medium length coat has developed a wirey texture, we think he is a rough-coat Jack Russell! What do you think? Who knows. He and his sister, Helena, were picked up as strays, wandering the streets. Too cute, he is only 10 pounds at four months so he isn't going to be a very big dog. What a sweetheart he is!
03/07 Volunteer Update Due to his recent leg surgery, we believe Jersey will recover best in a home without young children.
02/17 Foster Update He is going to be a small dog I would say 25/30 pounds. He loves to play with squeaky toys and he shakes them much like a Jack Russell does when they catch a small animal, etc. It has been 4 weeks since his first surgery and he is getting around like nothing happened. He is as spunky as ever and he loves to play with my three Bassett Hounds.
12/19 Update Jersey has a bit of a gimpy back knee. We will have the vet take a look at it. We noticed he walked funny when we got him but he actually is doing better. Helena, of course, keeps knocking him over in puppy play, but it doesn't seem to bother him. Ah, puppies!!!
