DOG 4 A DAY 1/11/17:  We took Chance out for Dog 4 a Day and this is the perfect dog!! There isn't a single problem with him, Chance is absolutely the sweetest dog that can be. He's so affectionate, has a great calm demeanor and loves other dogs; he played very well with ours. He doesn't mind getting a bath and will do anything for a treat. He's so smart and loving. He was amazing at lunch and just laid down next to us. He was great with the cats and was very playful when he warmed up to everything around him and he LOVED playing with a tennis ball. He never barked, he pulled on his leash but he was just so excited to get out and see everything and wanted to say hello to everyone! At our home all he wanted was love and cuddles curling right up in the dog bed and napped comfortably the rest of the day. He will fit right in to any home. His name Chance fits him extremely well because this dog deserves a second Chance with the right family  

Once upon a time, Chance had a home. Unfortunately there were problems in the household and no one wanted to keep Chance, who by the way is the perfect dog..... This poor dog ended up in a high kill shelter but thank goodness one of our volunteers saw the beauty in him and just knew we could find him a home.
 
Chance is good with cats and is housetrained. He is particular about the dogs that he likes. He does go out in a play group at the shelter. He would benefit from being with an active family so he can exert some of his energy.

He is heartworm positive but that will not prevent him from being an active fun loving dog.... PRBJ treats all our heartworm positive dogs with the slow kill method and will provide 6 months of heartworm medication to his adopter.
