Returned on August 5, 2020:  Lucky was returned after being with his owner since 2017. During that time, he lived with a single lady who took in several other dogs and when her employment changed, she was unable to be home often and Lucky did not get much attention and care. His owner did not even take Lucky to vet for check ups or vaccinations in the 3 years he lived there. 
His former adopter stated he pees on his bedding, and she tried belly bands and other deterrants. PRBJ will have a urine test done to rule out medical causes. Perhaps, his urination was more of male marking when other dogs were brought into the home, or result of a lack of care to take him out to potty:(  We will update his webage once the urine test is done, and we can then better evaluate any urination concerns.
 His former adopter says how loving Lucky is and that he likes being with his human(s) a lot!

At this moment, Lucky is sitting on a chair with Judy, and he has happily played with two dogs in the living room:) Lucky is a sweet, small dog who has lived in a single, female home for most of his life, and is best in an adult home with older/considerate children. He would be happy as the only dog or with another, calm canine. 
 

Volunteer update 7/21/17:  Lucky was wonderful today with the volunteers who handled him. He was kissing their faces and was happy to be held and snuggled~ No nipping behaviors were seen by the volunteers or staff.

Lucky was owner surrendered.  Unfortunately, their owners were not able to take care of him any longer.  He is housetrained and a happy/playful dog. He enjoys his baths and loves to go on walks/runs. He did live with older children and was great with them, we feel younger children would not be a good fit with Lucky. Lucky is good with cats and will enjoy sleeping with with his owner. Lucky nips out of uncertainity with people.
Lucky is ready to start a new life with a new wonderful family who can help train his nipping.
