***Note: If open to adopting Travis and Terri together, there is a special adoption fee of $400 for the two of them to be adopted together.
Terri and her brother Travis are inseperable. They were brought to us with the intake of 31 dogs from Georgia. All we know is they were in a kill shelter in Georgia together at the end of their stay before a kind lady pulled them at the very last minute.
Terri is a very bouncy and happy girl. She gets nervous, but gets over her fears quite quickly. Seeing herself in the mirror was quite intimidating for her as anytime she growled that other puppy growled back at her! The nerve! Terri is EXTREMELY toy motivated. She always has at least one stuffed animal, if not two, in her mouth at all times. When you come to let her out of her crate, she will grab a stuffed animal and wiggle, wiggle, wiggle with excitement. She is very smart and picked up the command "sit" in a matter of minutes. She does have a bad habit of jumping up, but we are working on correcting that and she is already improving. They are both very submissive puppies with generally sweet natures. In new situations, Terri tends to let her brother check things out first before she will try something. She is very bouncy but very loving and an overall exceptional dog. She would be great in home with other dogs for her to wrestle around with as she tries to wrestle with her foster siblings, not just her brother or in a home that will give her a bit of extra excerise and stimulation (going for walks or runs, playing ball outside, tug of war, etc.)
As a weathered foster mom, I'm normally pro each dog getting adopted seperately. However, these two puppies have a special bond you do not see very often. They are yin and yang, and even sleep as such. Where you will find one, you will find the other. They love to wrestle and play together. They will run around, side-by-side with the same toy in their mouths with their tails wagging, not attempting to take it from each other. They share a crate right now and love to snuggle together.
