Foster Update (2/28/14):
Harriet is a gentle sweet heart. She sometimes appears to be a little timid, and cautious at first, but don't let this fool you. She is just a shy, sensitive and loving kitty who requires a gentle, calm and loving owner, but once she gets to know you and feels comfortable, she shows her rambunctious, playful and curious side.  To show her gentle side, while I am lying in bed she gingerly walks up to me and with her nose she gently pushes the covers so she may sleep under the covers with me. She loves to sleep by my side, or under my legs when I prop them up and in the morning this sweet kitty wakes me up with kisses on my hands, or feet. She also loves to play with my hair, especially if I am taking to long to get up, or taking too long praying. Most of the time, she patiently waits for me to finish and lies next to me meditating with her eyes closed until I get up.

She loves to be held like a baby and have her head caressed and closes her eyes while I am gently petting her nose, especially when we just wake up in the morning. This is when I am able to hear her barely audible purrs. This is one of her most cherished times: Sleeping in bed at night at the foot of the bed, or waking up in the morning and being pet. How do I know? Because this is one of the only times I can hear and feel her very quiet and gentle purring. She also loves to use me as a taxi when she gently climbs up my shoulders and lies there for a little while as I walk around the house cleaning up.

She is a very smart and sweet kitten and is an amazing companion because she follows me wherever I go. She is my constant companion and curiously watches me when I am cleaning the litter, or brushing my teeth and the funny thing is she waits until I am sitting on the toilet to rub herself tenderly against my legs. She even knows how to open bathroom doors because she does not want to miss a moment next to me. She also loves to drink and play with the water from the faucet while I am brushing my teeth, or washing dishes. She also loves to play with my apron strings when I am about to put on my apron.

Harriett, who we also call Spotter because of the spot on her head, is very playful, especially with Strings, mice, balls, etc. is very curious and is much more brave than she appears and is the first to explore a new toy, a cat taxi, or a new corner of the house after she is done being timid. She loves to play hide and seek in the bathtub and shower curtain with her brothers and sisters. I even found her sitting inside the kitchen sink once. Lol. She really loves mice on the end of a string. She is my playful, curious and gently kitty who is always making me laugh with her quirky, sweet, playful ways. She is such a joy to be around and she is looking for a loving, forever home.
