Fun! Exuberant! Playful! Warren is a big boy with a big personality to match! He is like a puppy in a big body, and his enthusiasm for life is infectious.

Warren's bursts of playfulness are short-lived though, and you can often find him giving big slobbery kisses or begging for a belly rub and some cuddles. He is housetrained and crate trained.  Warren LOVES car rides – hopping in a car to head out on an adventure is one of his favorite things in the world!  Warren loves everyone but his enthusiasm can be a bit overwhelming to some, so he needs a home without children or cats.  He likes other dogs, but can be rough when he plays.  Warren needs a foster or adopter that will provide a loving, structured home and the mental and physical stimulation he needs to thrive....Could that be you?

To help Warren transition into his new family, one session of in-home training and one Group Obedience & Agility class with Natural Instincts Dog Training will be provided with his adoption fee.  Also, as Warren is a volunteer favorite, a fundraiser has been established to include a care package with his adoption fee.

If you’re looking for a goofy, funny playmate, Warren just might be the pup for you. Please call today to find out more about this big hunk of love!

Origin: Warren (also called Elvis) was rescued from a high kill by a dog lover who couldn't see this great dog put down. He is a pretty large dog and we suspect some sort of Lab/Great Dane and possibly Mastiff.

*** According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Labrador Retriever is a loving, affectionate, lovable, patient dog. Once known as the "St John's Dogs," the Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular breeds in the United States. Originally from Newfoundland, Canada the Labrador was trained to jump overboard into the icy waters to haul fisherman's nets to shore. Specimens were brought to England in the 1800's by English ships coming from Labrador, where the dog's fine retrieving instincts were honed and developed. One of the best family dogs and canine companions because of their gentle, loving disposition, the highly trainable Labrador also excels in drug detection, as a guide for the blind, and service dog for the disabled. The breed is also an outstanding obedience and field trial competitor. Highly intelligent, loyal, willing, and high-spirited. Lively and good-natured, they love to play, especially in water - for they love to swim. They have an excellent, reliable, temperament and are friendly, superb with children and equable with other dogs. They crave human attention and need to feel as though they are part of the family. Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
