Jessie and her companion Doc were left behind in a local condo by his previous oweners. One of our devoted volunteers went to his rescue. As foster Daisy tells the story, " We got a call from Judy to rescue little Ms. Jessie and her companion, Doc, from a horrible situation. Upon arrival, we were shown the condo where Jessie and Doc were locked up. They were both kept in a condo for around 2 weeks with no food, water, and air conditioning. Can you believe that after all the neglect and abuse this sweet soul had been through she still wiggled from head to toe to see us?? Jessie is just as sweet as can be! She LOVES people and animals. She especially loves her best friend, Doc. Everyone who meets Jessie falls in love with her amazing personality. We just adore her and know you will too!!!"
Jessie is a loving terrier mix around 3 years old. After being neglected by her previous owner, along with her companion Doc, we took them into our home to give them some much needed TLC. Jessie is heartworm positive and is currently being treated with the slow-kill method. But don't let that deter you- her perky personality is irresistible. Here is what we have learned about Jessie over the past 2 weeks:
Crate trained and has never had an accident in the house
Learning her basic commands such as sit and lay down
Very friendly with other dogs- LOVES to play fetch and "tag" with other dogs
Not food aggressive
Loves to cuddle and give kisses
Jumps up to get attention- we are currently working on training her to not get overly excited when we come home
Would be a great running partner
Excellent during baths
