UPDATE: Sophia would be happiest in a home with no dogs and no other cats, as for some reason, wherever she goes she ends up being picked on by the others. She is an absolute sweatheart, though, and would love on "her person" all day if she could. She would be perfect for a retired couple or someone who can be home a lot (i.e.: stay at home parent) and can provide her with the love and affection (and play-time!) she deserves.
Foster Update 01/2013: I’ve had Sophia for over a month now and she is an absolute sweetheart. She came to me because she was being bullied by another foster’s cats and wasn’t happy in that environment. She has adapted nicely to my new place and my two other cats. However she would do better in a home without young pups (we have two 7-8 months old puppies that are too much for her). She would do fine with an older dog that is much less hyper and less “in-her-face”.
She is very playful and loving. She loves to cuddle and be petted when the dogs are outside. I just can’t believe that Sophia is still looking for her forever home after all this time. She is gorgeous (the photos don't do her justice at all), sweet, easy going, and funny (she sometimes chases her own tail for a few minutes..it’s hilarious!). She is very quiet (I’ve only heard her meow once) and doesn’t take much space (she’s just a little ball of fur, so tiny). She would make any cat lover very happy.
Update: July 2012 - Sophia has blossomed into a confident and social young cat. Gone is any shyness. Sophia is there where the action is and wants to be fussed. Sophia has been with us since December 2011 - a long time without a family to call her own.
When little Sophia first came to us, she was so confused and scared. But with lots of love and gentle talk, she's warmed up immensely. Now, she will meow for your attention and rub against your fingers and stick her pawa thru the crate to try to stop you when you walk bY.
I have been with PRBJ since 12/23/2011
