Sabrina was found as a single stray kitten by Judy. When she came to her foster home, she was very scared and sick. I'm happy to say that she is no longer sick, but with her time in isolation and the time spent on her own when very young, she is not completely trusting of other cats and people. I am encouraged though, because in the last few weeks she has made some great progress in this matter. As I write this, she is running around and playing and wrestling with her foster brothers and sister. This is a major improvement from hiding under the bed. 

She is a very loving kitten. The way I was able to earn her trust was through petting. She cannot get enough of it. When she looks at you, you can see that she is begging you to reach out your hand and pet her. She has even started climbing into my lap on her own and has fallen asleep numerous times this way.

Unfortunately, even with all this improvement, she is still very jumpy with most noises and will run away if you stand up or start walking towards her. But again, it's not all bad news. There are times when I can walk near her and she will not run away. She's learning, but it's taking time. She will need someone who has the patience and understanding to realize that she is just a scared little kitten and that she really does want to be with you and just be pet.
